Utilizing international patents, exclusively licensed from Scuderi Group, Inc., the ESG Clean Energy system is designed to efficiently generate electricity from natural gas, LNG, or biogas while capturing nearly all the carbon dioxide in the process to produce valuable carbon-based commodities. 


Our thermodynamics team is passionate about developing distributed power solutions and providing the world a viable energy solution until 100% dependence on renewable energies can be reached.

Nicholas Scuderi

Nicholas Scuderi, President of ESG Clean Energy, LLC, has over 25 years of experience marketing products and services has worked in several multi-national corporations in the HVAC, refrigeration, and power generation industries. A seasoned global sales and management executive, Mr. Scuderi holds a B.S. on Finance from the University of Massachusetts.  

Vice President Corporate Finance & Europe

Lutz K. Deyerling

Lutz serves as the Vice Presiden of ESG Clean Energy’s European & Corporate Finance activities. He has over 25 years of experience in investment-banking and consulting in the automotive and energy industry. Focusing on IPO’s, venture capital funding and M&A, Lutz worked several years for Deutsche Bank, Bank Berlin, BHF Bank, Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young before starting his own consulting firm. He did lead and co-lead in more than 20 IPO’s and successfully closed several M&A transactions as well as fundraisings for technology start-ups. Prior to starting his own firm, he headed the corporate finance team of Ernst & Young’s European automotive & technology division.

Lutz holds an MBA in Finance, Banking and Marketing from the University of Mannheim. He also graduated from the German Army’s technical college and is a NATO Reserve Officer.

Institutional Sales Director

Gary W. Lantta

Gary serves as relationship manager for accredited individuals and financial intermediaries in support of ESG’s efforts in building product and firm recognition. Prior to joining ESG, Mr. Lantta was co-founder of Wealth Partners Capital (NY), a merchant banking and asset management firm. Additionally, Mr. Lantta served as Managing Director of Business Development at Burnham Asset Management Corporation (NY) where he was responsible for marketing their mutual funds and alternative investment products, and attracting new business ventures. Previously, he was managing Director at David W. Tice & Associates Inc. (Dallas, TX) and was responsible for the distribution of the firm’s mutual funds and private partnerships with a focus on natural resources and energy.

Director of Marketing and Communications

Bill Wrinn

Bill Wrinn manages all of ESG’s domestic and international marketing and communications activities.  He has over 30 years of experience working various aspects of media communications and digital content generation in a variety of industries. After beginning his career as a news reporter and technical copywriter, Bill worked for marketing/PR firms around Boston, including PAN Communications, Topaz Partners, and the Portico Group where he directed numerous accounts in the high tech, automotive, green tech, and publishing/events industries.

Director of Operations and Projects

Leon Szafran

Leon Szafran, Director of Operations and Projects at ESG, has over 30 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction. In prior work he budgeted, planned, scheduled construction, and managed job sites. Mr. Szafran has previously worked with Eastern General Contractors performing tasks such as contract negotiations, job estimating, government construction all over the country as well as public and municipal projects. He also worked with MCC Construction constructing government buildings nationwide. Mr. Szafran holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University in Engineering Technology and Construction Management.

Director of engineering

Michael DiFrancesco

Michael DiFrancesco leads all of the engineering and design efforts at ESG. Most recently, he was director of engineering at Clean Crop Technologies where he led efforts around developing their food safety bioproducts. Prior, Michael was the engineering manager at Enjet Aero as well as working as a hot section design engineer for Pratt & Whitney where he filed 10 patents relating to gas turbines and power generation. He holds two master’s degrees – mechanical engineering and materials science – from the University of Connecticut School of Engineering where he also completed his undergraduate work. While at UConn, he was the powertrain lead for the engineering school’s Formula-style automotive design team.  

Director of Business Development

Chris Chartrand

Chris Chartrand, Director of Business Development at ESG, has 30 years of experience working nationwide in sales and marketing. Prior to ESG, Mr. Chartrand sold documents and data solutions to the banking industry for many years. Besides his background in finance, sales and marketing, he is an expert in targeting new relationships in untapped markets. Mr. Chartrand holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Business, from the University of Massachusetts.

Director of human resources

Stephanie Douglass

Stephanie Douglass, Human Resources Director, has over 25 years of management and leadership experience in the manufacturing, municipal, industrial, and bio-medical industries. She previously worked for the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission, where she managed all facets of human resources, including policy administration, legal compliance, strategic workforce planning, technical recruiting, and training. She attended Westfield State University and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Human Resources Management at Southern New Hampshire University.
